The other day my gorgeous Mum & I were invited to The Suites Spa in Knowsley and today I want to tell you all about it. I have so much to say about this experience so you may want to grab a cuppa and a biscuit because this post is going to be a long one.
I deliberately went into this experience knowing nothing about the Spa, other than the brief pieces of information I had been told in the original e-mail about the day. My reasoning for this being that I wanted to see the spa for the first time in person, not through images on a screen. When we entered, we were greeted warmly by the ladies on reception and given some forms to fill out before being shown around and taken to the changing rooms where we changed into the most comfortable robes and flip flops before being whisked into the treatment suites.
Going back to the forms I mentioned earlier, they asked if we had any allergies and me being awkward mentioned that I was allergic to nuts. I have been to spa’s in the past whereby when I told the staff about this allergy it was made out to be the end of the world, but the staff at The Suites dealt with it brilliantly. I was asked how severe the allergy was, if my mum using products that contained nuts would impact me and by the time I was changed my therapist had been made aware of the situation and they had made some product substitutions. I was so impressed with how this was all dealt with; the challenge I had unintentionally set was taken into stride and I wasn’t made to feel like an inconvenience.
As for the Spa itself, it is set out beautifully. There’s one double treatment room and a range of individual treatments rooms, all along a corridor which is decorated to make you feel relaxed with its deep purple and gold hues. The individual treatment rooms are beautifully laid out and spacious, with all of the products on display so you can see exactly what is being used. After the treatment, guests are invited to spend up to an hour in the Relaxation room- or as I like to call it, the best room in any spa ever! As you can see below, this is a huge room filled with single and double beds where guests can go to relax (and have a nap!) after their treatment. There is free tea, coffee and water and there is also the option to add on a glass of fizz and some chocolate covered strawberries. We were very kindly gifted this and I have to say it added something extra special to the experience… I think it would be the perfect treat if you were visiting the spa for a birthday, anniversary or any kind of occasion. This room is also strictly quiet, if you want to talk it’s whisper only, making it the perfect place to relax!
There is also a Thermal Suite which changes temperature from hot to cold, and contains foot spas, heated loungers and regular lounges. The use of this suite is an add on to any treatments but if you’re booking in for a treatment I would definitely recommend it.
Moving on to the treatment, we had the Suites Seventh Heaven treatment which entailed a foot ritual, body brush, peel off mask, coconut tranquility scalp massage, nourishing body moisturiser, mini facial and a finishing foot ritual. In other words, absolute heaven. The treatment lasted 1 hour 25 minutes and costs £69, and as someone who loves a good spa day I can honestly say that this is such amazing value for money. All of the treatments are around a similar value, give or take a little depending on the length and, for lack of a better word, depth of the treatment. But there is such a wide range of treatments available (which you can view here).
Overall I had an incredible day at The Suites. The spa itself is truly beautiful, the treatment was incredible, and to top off the day the ladies at the spa very kindly gifted me with one of their spa robes and a Decleor gift (which is the skincare brand the use within the spa) which is by far the best gift I’ve ever received as a blogger, and you can fully expect to see it on my snapchat/ insta stories every day!
