When I first started getting into makeup, Urban Decay eyeshadows were my holy grail. Their palettes were always top of my Christmas list and Santa always delivered, so for a long time I never used any other brand of eyeshadow.
But as my love of makeup grew, I stumbled across other eyeshadows that captured my lil’ heart and as these other brands kept coming at me with to die for palettes (I’m looking at you, ABH) I felt as though UD stopped giving me the Wow Factor I was needing. Don’t get me wrong, their palettes were still beautiful, but noting they were producing was knocking my socks off.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ve more than likely seen the new Moondust Palette everywhere, and let me tell you, there’s a reason it’s all over your insta/ twitter feeds. If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that I love me some glitter but this palette is unlike anything I have in my makeup collection. Usually when I go for a glitter eye look, I need to place an eyeshadow underneath it to make the colour pop. On the other hand, when an eyeshadow has glitter in it, the pigmentation from the shadow usually outshines the glitter.
But this is different. By some miracle, Urban Decay have managed to create the perfect balance between shadow and glitter to provide colours that have stunning pigmentation with a beautifully sparkling finish.
I’ve heard a few people express concern that some of the colours are not wearable, and so the palette would be a waste. Personally, I love the bolder colours in the palette because I feel like they let me be more creative, but even if you’re not used to bold shadow I wouldn’t let this stop you from treating yourself! In my opinion, these colours make it so easy to spice up your eye makeup routine and they look stunning paired with more neutral colours which you can use to tone it down a bit!
In term of price point, this beautiful palette will set you back £35. Personally, I was shocked when I found this out because when I first saw the palette I was expecting it to be at least £45-£50 so the price was a pleasant surprise for me! I got mine in store in Debenhams but you can get it from them online right here.
Overall I definitely recommend this product, I think the shades are beautiful for now but I also can’t wait to use this as it gets closer to Christmas (don’t shout at me, I’m excited!) If you have got one of these beauties please do let me know what you think, and if you buy one after reading this post be sure to leave me a little comment and tag me in any looks you create using it!
