Lucy G Lipbalms

Lucy G Lipbalms

Hey Lovelies!
A few weeks ago the lovely Lucy from Lucy G Lip balms very kindly sent me one of her tinted balms to try, and today I wanted to tell all of you about it and why I LOVE it!
If you haven’t heard of them before, Lucy is an amazing makeup artist based in London and she developed this range of beautiful balms, made with organic ingredients, to use on clients and to be used in everyday life. They come in a variety of colours and you can have a soft tint for a more subtle colour or a strong tint for a more intense colour.
Before I tell you about the colour I received, allow me to tell you more about why this has become one of my essential products. For starters, I have struggled on and off with chapped lips for years as a result of having eczema and more often than not I can only use a lipbalm for so long before it starts to disagree with me and I have to move on to something else. I also struggle with anything that’s too perfumed. But this is one of the only products I have ever come across that does not disagree with my skin… can I get an amen?!
On top of the skin benefits, knowing that these lip balms are made using organic ingredients by someone who really cares about what’s going into them makes me feel so much more reassured about what I’m putting on my face.

Now as for the colour that I received, Lucy sent me this beautiful purple soft tint balm in “The Laura” which has become one of my most essential items as we transition from summer to winter. I love a good bold lip and purple has always been my preference, but as the cold strikes chapped lips inevitably pop up making it impossible to rock my fave bold lippies. However, I have found that replacing my lipsticks with my balm gives me the best of both worlds! And on the occasions when I can’t resist my liquid lipsticks, a touch of this balm over the top intensifies the colour and gives me that moisture boost I need.

And can we just talk about this pigmentation for a second?! The colour payoff on this product is insane and if this is only the soft tint, I can only imagine how brilliant the strong tint shades are!

Honestly, I could go on all day about how much I love this product and I am dying to try more of the colours… can I use being a MUA as an excuse to buy them all, “for my kit” (kidding, kinda)

But anyway, what I’m trying to say is that if you’re on the market for a good lip balm now or in the future, you should 100% check out Lucy G lip balms on Twitter where you can contact her and find out how to order! Also, if (when) you do treat yourself to one of these beauties, please tag me in photos showing me the shade you pick to help me decide which one I want next!

I really hope you have enjoyed reading this post. I’m sorry that they’re still a little scarce at the minute but now that I’m back into the swing of uni and feeling almost 100% better they will definitely start to become more frequent again!

Thank you so much for reading
