Setting spray is key to making any makeup look last; it helps to keep everything in place, and can be used throughout the day to refresh and brighten. Over the past few months, I have tried setting sprays from a range of brands but I can honestly say that I have never loved a setting spray more than I love my Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day spray, and in today’s post I’m going to tell you why!
Available in 5 refreshing flavours, the most noticeable feature about this setting spray is the scent. I purchased Peach and Jasmine ( Green Tea is next on my list) and although both of them smell divine, Peach is definitely my favourite.
Even though the scent is quite strong when you first spray this, it doesn’t linger throughout the day, which I like because I think if it lingered all day you’d go “nose blind” (for lack of a better phrase!) and would no longer be able to appreciate the scent.
In terms of keeping my makeup in place, I have zero complaints. I use 3-5 sprays after I’ve finished my makeup (you don’t need that many, but I like to use a lot!) 2 spritzes after about 5 hours for a refresh and wouldn’t you know it, I Slay ALLLLL Day (see what I did there?!)
And in addition to keeping my makeup in place, this product is also perfect for wetting your brush when using dual intensity or baked makeup products because it’s not too heavy. I also love that the formula on this product isn’t sticky so you won’t be left with a tacky- feeling face once you’ve sprayed it (can I get an amen?!)
Another reason I am obsessed with this product is because it doesn’t change the finish of your foundation. You can buy Matte and Dewy finish setting sprays, but I honestly think that it’s so much better to have one that will hold your makeup in place without making your dewy foundation greasy or your matte foundation dewy!
In terms of price point, these babies cost £12.50 for a 100ml bottle. I bought my original bottles when they first came to Beauty Bay which must have been at least 2 months ago, if not longer, and there is still product left in both of them! So when you mix that, the amazing scents and the fact that Gerard Cosmetics is a pretty FAB brand anyway, I would say that this is definitely good value for money!
I hope that you have enjoyed this review, I’ve got so much to write about at the minute that I wasn’t sure where to start, but I have been obsessing over this product for months now and I have been dying to share my thoughts with you!
