A few weeks ago I picked up the Liz Earle Superskin Eye Cream and today I want to share my thoughts with you all. I bought this because, even though I’m only 19, I strongly believe that taking care of your skin from a young age is the key to anti- ageing. Don’t get me wrong, it won’t bother me when I’m older and my face is creased with laughter lines and wrinkles; I see them as a sign that someone has enjoyed life. But that doesn’t mean that I want to be riddled with them by the time I’m 30… I’m only human and the vain part of me wants smooth skin for as long as possible!
I’ve always suffered with darkness and dryness under my eyes and so when I took a visit to my local Liz Earle counter (which I visit way more often than I need to) and saw this beautiful silver bottle, I was instantly drawn to it and after a quick and pleasant chat with the lovely lady on the counter, I was inevitably going to make a purchase.
The first thing that I love about this product (apart from the pretty silver bottle) is the fact that it is light enough to wear under my makeup. This is so important to me because after a few hours of wearing concealer my under eyes definitely used to feel dry and, well, cakey. But since I started using this little beauty, the skin around my eyes looks a lot healthier- with and without makeup- and my concealer stays in place for a lot longer.
Another huge bonus to this product is that a little bit really does go a LONG way; less than one full pump is more than enough to cover both eyes.
As for price point, I always think of Liz Earle as being the most reasonably priced “high end” skincare brand. This eye cream is £35 for 15ml (you can shop it from John Lewis here) which initially may seem a but pricey, but when you consider its amazing quality and how little you need, it’s actually super reasonable.
Liz Earle do have a full Superskin range and I’m currently trying their moisturiser which I will be reviewing for you all shortly. But if you have tried any other items in the range then please do let me know what you think!
I hope you have enjoyed this review, thank you so much for reading!
