Some of you may know that two makeup artists from the NARS Artistry Team were in Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar in Liverpool at the weekend, and I was lucky enough to have booked an appointment and had my makeup done by the lovely Rachael Cole. I have had my makeup done several times at the NARS counter in Liverpool all of the girls are fab so I was delighted to have this experience!
I purchased the new Velvet Matte Skin Tint and given that it’s been talked about so much lately, I thought I’d share my thoughts with you all! I was originally colour matched for this a few weeks ago but decided to wait until Saturday to buy it (girl gotta save!)
The first time I wore this I had no other makeup on my face, there was literally just that because I got colour matched and then went to the gym so I had the perfect setting for testing the longevity- and I was very impressed! When I came out of the gym looking like a mess, I was pleased to see that it had stayed almost perfectly in place, only budging in areas where I’m particularly oily.
When I had my makeup done on Saturday, Rachael used Laguna bronzer on my cheeks and set the other areas of my face with loose setting powder. I then went into work (where there is no air con FYI) and yet again this product did not budge all day!
As the name suggests, the finish on this is semi- matte and it does have some powder in it so you don’t need to apply a lot of powder on top of it. With one layer I’ve found the coverage to be medium but it’s totally buildable and can be taken to full coverage!
As for the price, this costs £30 which is the standard price for a NARS foundation but I don’t think that you can argue with the price when you consider the quality of the product.
I hope you have enjoyed reading all about this product and my little experience at Beauty Bazaar. I’m sorry that this post was so long! My review of the Laguna Liquid Bronzer will also be up in the next couple of days.
Thank you so much for reading
